Destination Overview

Langkawi sits 7° north of the equator: warm tropical climate year-round, average 26–30°C, sea temperatures hold near 28°C. The main island is comparable in size to Singapore. Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah are the headline beaches; Tanjung Rhu in the north is quieter and the choice for luxury resort programmes.

The Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark covers limestone karst formations estimated at over 500 million years old. The Langkawi SkyCab cable car climbs Mount Mat Cincang to 708 m, where the curved Sky Bridge suspends 125 m above the rainforest. The Kilim Karst Geoforest Park delivers the signature mangrove cruise, sea eagles, monkeys, monitor lizards, limestone caves.

The island is duty-free, which materially affects pricing on spirits, perfume, chocolate and tobacco, relevant for guest gifting on incentive programmes. The marina at Telaga is the launch point for the yacht charter inventory we operate.

Programmes we run here: incentive groups built around island hopping and the Sky Bridge, luxury beach stays at The Datai, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton or St Regis, dive and snorkel itineraries combined with Phuket, and bespoke yacht charters from day cruises up to multi-day liveaboards.

December through April, driest period, calmest seas. September and October have a slightly higher chance of short showers but sea conditions remain workable.
